In the Can-Am round this week Phil finally decided to join in seriously & brought along the quickest of the range of cars that hes debuted so far ..and promptly won the round in the very well sorted Slot-it McLaren. His total of 88 laps was enough to grab 1st spot from myself in 2nd, and Rob Golley in 3rd both finishing on 87 laps. We can only wait and see if Phil sticks with this vehicle for the rest of the series, or whether he continues his rotation policy of a different car every week ..a luxury of choice that some of us have no comprehension of. Adrians car, being driven by Bruce this week, was also very quick again & finished up in 4th just 1 lap further back on 86 laps. Dave Bantoft, again very competitive, finished well to take out 5th on 85 laps, finishing just ahead of Bruce Thomas with track position resigning Bruce to 6th. Chris Priest was very quick again and was only 1 lap further back in 7th on 84, 2 laps clear of John Batich in 8th on 82 total. Rhys slotted into 9th (79) ahead of Dave Gray in the top 10 on 75 , Thomas Males (Phil proxying) in 11th on 74 & Nick Golley in 12th on 72. Callan was again luckless this week with more car troubles & unfortunately rounded out the 13 driver field on 68 laps.
